Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Role Ready. By signing in or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Role Ready lets you store career history (the Journal), paste a job description or URL, and generate a tailored resume using a third-party AI model (currently Google Gemini). You may edit and download the result as a PDF.

Your account

  • You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping that Google account secure.
  • You must be 16 or older and legally able to enter into a contract.
  • One person per account. Don't share credentials.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Role Ready to:

  • Submit content that infringes anyone's rights, including copying someone else's resume or experience as your own.
  • Submit illegal, harassing, or fraudulent content, or content that misrepresents your identity or qualifications in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service, circumvent rate limits, or abuse the AI generation features (e.g. prompt-injection attacks, mass-automated submissions).
  • Use the service to generate output that violates Google Gemini's usage terms or content policies.

Your content

You retain ownership of the experience entries, job descriptions, and edits you submit, and of the resumes you generate. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of operating the service — storing it, sending it to the AI provider to generate output, and showing it back to you.

AI output

Generated resumes are produced by a large language model from the inputs you provide. They may contain mistakes, omissions, or phrasing you wouldn't use. Always review and edit generated resumes before sending them to an employer. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit in a job application. Role Ready makes no guarantee that generated content is error-free, free of bias, or that it will result in any particular employment outcome.

Availability

We do our best to keep the service running, but we offer no uptime guarantee. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or events outside our control (including AI provider outages).

Termination

You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing the address below. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Role Ready and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
